How to properly measure?

For the most accurate size adjustment of a bra, we recommend using a tailor's tape measure. This soft and flexible tape measure easily conforms to the shape of the body, ensuring accurate results. The key measurements are two basic dimensions – the underbust circumference and the bust circumference.

Underbust measurement

Take the measurement in a bra with a light stretch that does not alter the natural shape of the breasts. Wrap the tailor's tape measure tightly around the ribcage, just below the band of the bra, in a horizontal position to prevent distortion. The tape should be snug but comfortably encircle the chest. This measurement indicates the circumference which is the basis for selecting the correct bra size – a properly chosen band size ensures that the bra stays in place and provides optimal support throughout the day.

Bust measurement

Take the measurement in a well-fitting bra. Place the tape measure over the fullest part of the chest, that is, over the nipples. Ensure that the tape is level along the entire length and does not twist or slide. This measurement is essential for determining the correct cup size – an accurate cup size provides not only comfort but also a beautiful neckline shape. The difference between the bust measurement and the underbust measurement determines the cup size.

 

 

How to choose the size?

Once you have the measurements, you can proceed to select the optimal size. For example, if your underbust measurement is 80 cm and your bust measurement is 93 cm, we recommend choosing a bra with a band size 5 to 10 cm smaller than the measured value (in this case, 75 or 70 cm). A smaller band size ensures that the bra provides adequate support and does not shift during the day. The cup size is determined by subtracting the underbust measurement from the bust measurement – in the example, 93 cm minus 80 cm equals 13 cm, corresponding to a cup size C. Properly fitted tightness and bra size support not only comfort but also health and the aesthetic appearance of the figure.

When choosing a bra, the rule is that when selecting a smaller band size, it is advisable to choose a larger cup size. For example, if you are comfortable with size 75C, you might try 70D, which often provides a better fit and support. This sizing method is especially useful when purchasing sports bras or bralettes, where maximum comfort and stability during movement are crucial.
